What is Off-Facebook Activity and How to Disable It?

Facebook has a new feature to improve their business program called "Off-Facebook Activity". It's quite appreciative. So we will talk about this matter today. But most of us won't like it that their information is being stored and shared. Isn't it? So we gonna teach you how to stop your off-Facebook Activity in this post as well.

What is "Off-Facebook Activity"?

Off-Facebook Activity is your interactions with business platforms and organizations through your device other than Facebook that they share with Facebook by their business tools to improve their businesses. Facebook analyses your preferences and gives you some user experience like showing ads according to your preferences, suggesting you to discover some groups/pages/new businesses or brands, identifying suspicious activities to keep Facebook safe, etc. According to Facebook's statement, Facebook becomes ensured by the businesses and organizations that they noticed people before using their business tools. From Facebook's official website, you can know that Facebook receives activities of opening apps, logging into apps with Facebook, viewing something, searching for something, adding something to your online shopping cart, and making purchases or donations. But for technical and accuracy reasons, Facebook won't show you all your activities it received. But Facebook ensures you that it doesn't sell your activities to anyone. Also, it prevents businesses and organizations to share sensitive information (health/financial information, date of birth, password, etc.) with them.

Should You Stop It?

Well, it mostly depends on you. If you keep it enabled, you may have a good experience with Facebook. You may find some groups or pages out that go with your preferences. Also, you may see ads according to your preferences that may offer you some good offers and deals. But those who are aware of their activities and don't want to share them, they should stop it. But if you stop it, you won't be able to use Facebook for logging into any third-party apps or games. But you will still see relevant ads based on your Facebook activities (not on off-Facebook activities).
