Change Your Old Practices of Using Windows to Smarter Techniques
Everyone follows some patterns and their own techniques of using Windows. And everyone obviously feels comfortable with the practices he/she usually does. So, it completely depends on you which techniques go with you. We are going to describe some techniques you may like. No matter you like or don't like these techniques, but you may need one or some of these one day.
Use Keyboard Shortcuts
You should not use the mouse all the time while running Windows. Instead of using the mouse, use keyboard shortcuts for some commands that you do usually. Such as: pressing Ctrl+C>changing directory>Ctrl+V from keyboard is easier than right-clicking>Copy>changing directory>right-clicking>paste. Isn't it? It really saves your time. So, memorize some essential keyboard shortcuts today and use them.
Delete Unnecessary File/Files Permanently At Once
Suppose you don't need a file anymore. So you gonna delete it permanently. What will you do? Most people delete by pressing the Delete key from the keyboard or right-clicking by mouse and then hitting Delete. This is good if you are thinking to recycle in the future. But if you want to delete a file permanently, this is annoying that first you delete a file and then go to recycle bin and then find out that file and then delete it finally. So, instead of doing so, just select the unnecessary file/files and press Shift+Delete from your keyboard. And it will delete the unnecessary file/files permanently bypassing recycle bin.
Hibernate Your PC
When you take a short break during running Windows but want to get back to what you were doing to continue your work after the break, what do you do? Usually, you switch PC to sleep mode, right? But sleep mode consumes power. So, switch your PC straight to hibernate mode instead of sleep mode. Hibernate saves what you did and it fully turns off your PC. So it saves power. When you will power on your PC, you can continue from actually where you left off.
Adjust Icon Size of A Directory As You Want to See
To increase or decrease the size of icons of a specific directory, we simply right-click in the blank area of that directory and make it large, medium, or small from the view option. But this method doesn't offer us the actual size that we want to see. So, to adjust icon size, simply hold the Ctrl key from the keyboard and move scroll up or down from the mouse to increase or decrease and change it to how you like to see it.
Scroll Faster
When you need to scroll faster a long webpage or to go top or end of the page or go to a page of a PDF book from your browser, don't scroll over and over. Just press the scroll button once and move your mouse up or down. It will save the time of scrolling.
There are a dozen of techniques other than these. You can find out those and practice them regularly. We will describe those in the future.
